Women in Technology Scholarships

Am I Eligible?

You can apply for a Women in Technology Scholarship or an Indigenous Women in Technology Scholarship if you have completed a minimum of one-year of post-secondary studies (30 credits) leading to an undergraduate degree, diploma or certificate in Computer/Data Science, Physics, Engineering, or Mathematics, and will be continuing in your studies at a BC public post-secondary institution for at least one additional year.

Detailed Eligibility Criteria:

  • Women in Technology Scholarship

    To be eligible to apply for this Scholarship, you…

    • self-identify as a woman;
    • are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident (landed immigrant), convention refugee, or protected person living in Canada;
    • are enrolled and are studying at a BC public post-secondary educational institution;
    • have not previously received this Scholarship (past applicants who did not receive a Scholarship are encouraged to re-apply);
    • have completed a minimum of one-year of post-secondary studies (30 credits) in and plan to continue studies for at least one additional year towards an undergraduate degree, diploma or certificate majoring in Computer/Data Science, Physics, Engineering or Mathematics at a BC public post-secondary institution;
    • have achieved (or will achieve by May 1, 2024) a minimum overall B/3.0 GPA;
    • can demonstrate a clear commitment to the pursuit of a future career in the technology sector.

  • Indigenous Women in Technology Scholarship

    To be eligible to apply for this Scholarship, you…

    • self-identify as a woman;
    • are of Indigenous (Aboriginal) Ancestry as defined by the Constitution Act, 1982 (“including the Indian, Inuit and Metis Peoples of Canada.”) Status and Non-Status;
    • are enrolled and are studying at a BC public post-secondary educational institution;
    • are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident (landed immigrant), convention refugee, or protected person living in Canada;
    • have not previously received this Scholarship (past applicants who did not receive a Scholarship are encouraged to re-apply);
    • have completed a minimum of one-year of post-secondary studies (30 credits) in and plan to continue studies for at least one additional year towards an undergraduate degree, diploma or certificate majoring in Computer/Data Science, Physics, Engineering or Mathematics;
    • plan to continue studies for at least one additional year;
    • have achieved (or will achieve by May 1, 2024) a minimum overall B/3.0 GPA;
