Eligibility criteria
Students may apply for an Ike Barber Transfer Scholarship if they:
- are Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, Convention Refugees, or Protected Persons living in Canada;
- are currently enrolled at, and will be transferring to, a public post-secondary institution in British Columbia as a full-time student1;
- are intending to transfer to their new institution between May 1 of the application year and April 30 of the following year;
- are transferring to complete their program (degree, diploma, certificate, etc.);
- have completed a minimum of 21 transferable2 post-secondary credits prior to transferring to their new institution3; and
- have achieved a minimum 2.5 Grade Point Average (GPA), or C+, based on their most recent semester of study, or their last 15 achieved credits.

3 Applicants are eligible to apply if they have not yet completed but anticipate that they will complete the required number of credits. These applicants will be asked to provide an updated transcript once they have completed the required number of credits.
NOTE: Applicants are not eligible to receive an Ike Barber Transfer Scholarship, and an Indigenous Student Award, or ABE Transition Award in the same year. Highest value award/scholarship will be issued.
